Brenau Academy provides intramural and interscholastic programs. The Academy fields varsity teams in volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, tennis, and basketball. Activities in or outside of class vary and may include softball, basketball, billiards, bowling, flag football, hiking, tennis, soccer, and volleyball.

Facilities include: gymnasium with walking
track, Olympic-sized swimming pool, Trotter Tectrix aerobic equipment room (treadmills, recumbent and upright bicycles, stair climbers, and elliptical hiker machines), four dance studios, classrooms, lockers and shower facilities.

Programs include: step and water aerobics, yoga, and dance activities, with additional activities being planned.  The fitness center houses the Dance Department, the Physical Education and Leisure Studies Department, the Gainesville Ballet Company, and the Lanier Aquatics Program.  The Fitness Center is available to Brenau faculty, staff and students.
