An Extraordinary Opportunity: Brenau's "Early College"

Brenau Academy has a long tradition of offering bright young women the opportunity to attend a college-prep high school on the campus of Brenau University. Not only is the Academy celebrating its 80th year in 2009, it is also celebrating the introduction of a new program: Brenau’s “Early College.” Now, not only will Academy students be able to take college courses as a part of their high school curriculum, eligible students will have the opportunity to earn their Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies while simultaneously achieving their Brenau Academy high school diploma. This extraordinary arrangement allows advanced students to accelerate their education, and to lay the groundwork for future advanced degrees.


Taking college classes alongside Brenau Women’s College students allows Academy students to explore prospective majors, fulfill core classes required for most undergraduate degree programs, and to get a real life taste of what college is like. Brenau University offers 37 undergraduate majors, including everything from Dance to Psychology. After living and learning on the Brenau campus, Academy students graduate prepared, confident, and focused on the future.       --
