Brenau Academy was founded in 1928 on the campus of Brenau Women's College by Dr. H.J. Pearce, who saw a need to provide exemplary secondary education to young women.
Brenau Academy's program
.....is designed to foster the growth of an open and inquiring mind and to prepare graduates for admission to college. For over 75 years, Brenau Academy has been educating students from around the United States and across the globe.
The Academy's buildings are part of the 53-acre campus of Brenau University, located in the town of Gainesville, Georgia. Gainesville is located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River and the shore of Lake Lanier, Georgia's largest lake. The governing body for both the Academy and the University is a 36-member Board of Trustees. The endowment for Brenau is $35 million. The Academy's annual operating budget is approximately $1.5 million. |
