I hope that as you explore our site, you discover that Brenau Academy is an extraordinary place: a high school with much to offer. I encourage you to take time to learn more about Brenau´s rich history and traditions, commitment to academic excellence, and vibrant as well as diverse community. -

From the day Brenau Academy opened its doors in 1928, it has been a high school with a purpose: to prepare talented young women for college educations, successful futures, and fulfilling community involvement. Brenau offers students small classes, a college preparatory curriculum, and invested teachers whose priority is to see each young woman do her best. Our staff, teachers, and house directors embrace a combination of support, structure and freedom, allowing students opportunities for fun and individual growth.


The Academy´s unique affiliation with Brenau University, an historic women´s college with whom we share a campus, allows students to make a confident transition into a college atmosphere. Academy students have full access to the University library, athletic facility, cafeteria, and auditorium. Advanced students have the opportunity to get a head start on college by taking college courses at Brenau University, earning credits towards their college education.


The value of a Brenau education is immeasurable. Academy graduates enter their college years with outstanding academic preparation, leadership skills, and confidence in their ability to succeed. With newly renovated facilities, an expanding list of extracurricular activities, and a small student/teacher ratio, a Brenau education is available at amazingly competitive rates.
