Brenau boarding experience is sometimes compared to a big slumber party or to life in one, unified sorority house. There is a special bond among Brenau boarding students, even across grade-level lines, that cannot be experienced in a traditional day school.

Good times with special friends are part of the excitement of Brenau Academy. Popcorn in the dorms, a weekend of snow skiing, dates to football games, informal and formal dances, shopping at the nearby stores, and sunbathing on spring afternoons become treasured memories. Learning how to get along with people from allover the world, keeping clean laundry and a clean room, and making important decisions away from parents brings maturity, self-confidence, and independence.

Brenau is committed to helping each young woman develop her full potential by providing academic challenge, encouragement, and support, while at the same time promoting personal growth. We see ourselves as an extension of a good home rather than as a replacement for it. Respect for individual differences lies at the heart of this commitment.

Brenau Academy was founded
..... in 1928 on the campus of Brenau Women's College by Dr. H.J. Pearce, who saw a need to provide exemplary secondary education to young women.
